An internet troll is taking the spotlight after she was hacked to death.
Annabelle B. Glynn was 17 years old when she was killed by a cyberbullies who tried to bully her into giving up her iPhone, a device she loved so much.
A report on the Daily Mail’s website says the teen was a “virtual model” for the company’s “Instagram” account.
The teenage victim was using the Instagram app when she allegedly became frustrated by the bullying, which started with a post by the alleged troll, and escalated to the teen’s death.
“I felt really depressed.
I was like, ‘what am I doing on Instagram?’ and I just kept doing it,” she told the Mail.”
My mum called me the next day, I was crying.
I said I was sorry, and she was like: ‘You don’t have to be sorry, I don’t need to hear you cry.
I need to know how bad it’s going.'”
The alleged troll then posted another picture of her, and said: “My life has changed forever.”
Annabelles parents, Jessica and Tom, spoke to the Daily Mirror, and her father said they are devastated.
“It’s such a horrific and terrible thing to do, it’s very disturbing,” Tom Bannister told the paper.
“When I think of it, I can’t help but think about her death and how much she had to go through.”
The teen’s parents said she was “an intelligent and creative young girl” who “could do anything” and they are “extremely devastated” by the cyberbulliness.
Annabella’s death comes just days after another young girl was hacked by a hacker, claiming to be a friend of her father, who was also a journalist, before being shot and killed by police.
In a statement, police said:”It is believed this individual targeted this victim, who has since died from her injuries.
Police are appealing for anyone with information regarding this incident to contact them.
